Religion & Ethnicity : Isreal
Many Christian sects are represented in Israel, including Armenian Orthodox, Abyssinian, Anglican, Coptic (Egyptian), Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Syrian Orthodox. Most are Arab by language and origin.
The friendly relations between Jews and Druze have deteriorated somewhat after the Israeli annexation of the Golan Heights. Unlike Muslims, all Druze serve in the army. The Druze have their own communal institutions. There is also a large Baha’i population in Israel. Baha’i holy sites are the Tomb of Al-Bab in Haifa and the Tomb of Baha’u'llah near Akko.
