The main gate to the Weizmann Institute is at the north end of Herzl St., a 20-minute walk from Bilou St., Manchester Sq., and the central bus station. Also on Bilou St., you’ll find Rehovot’s central fruit and vegetable market. The city’s main avenue, Herzl St., is lined with falafel shops and self-service restaurants (falafel NIS3-4). For authentic, spicy Yemenite dishes, head south along Herzl St. several blocks from the bus station, where you’ll find a cluster of restaurants. Buses #200 (express) and #201 make the 20km trip from Tel Aviv every 20 minutes (NIS5.5O), stopping 30m beyond the institute’s large white stone gate.
