Canadian passports may be obtained at one of 29 regional passport offices or by mail (Passport Office, Department of External Affairs, Ottawa, Ont. K1A OG3). Applications are available at any post office. Passports are valid for five years. Processing normally require five working days at a regional office, while mailed applications take four weeks. The fee is $35.
