Berlin Cafe, in the harbor 300m down Sheraton Street, serves cheap Egyptian fare.
Tarbouch Restaurant, 400m down from Aly Baba’s (near the square), serves up large individual pizzas (LE6.50-13, depending on toppings) which will stay with you for hours.
Rendezvous, on An-Nasr Way by the bus station, provides relative elegance with red-checked tablecloths, candlelight, and fine seafood. The menu includes veal and other such delicacies, as well as standards (kabab LE10). Salsa by Happy Land Hotel, has a real restaurant feeling.Reasonable service and relatively tasteful decor. Watch out for the flaming tomatoes (grilled fish LE8). Geisum, with a pleasant beachfront location, has good food and good prices, Hearty portions of grilled fish LE7.50.
Omar Khayyam Restaurant and Cafe, on An-Nasr Way just north of the center of town and the banks, sells alcohol for take-out or instant gratification. (Bottles of: ouzo, gin, Egyptian rum I.E10; wine LE20; vodka LE65-75; whiskey LE75. Beer LE4.)
