Filed under:

Persians and Assyrians left no mark on the Sinai-their sandy footprints are long gone. One has only to look at Hurghada and Eilat to know how rampant tourism can hurt the fragile Red Sea coast. Unchecked economic development may sink the Sinai; already garbage is piling up and coral reefs are wearing down.
